Aseer Region enjoys a pure nature and moderate breezy weather throughout the year. Owing to this, Aseer residents have invested in a new innovative idea to boost the Region’s status as a tourist destination.
The people of Aseer have built cottages to provide visitors with an unparalleled experience that combines the region’s unique characteristics with architecture inspired by different cultures from around the world.
Aseer offers a diverse variety of cottages that suits all tastes and budgets. Some of these cottages are wooden, others are made of glass, immersing visitors with a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding natural landscape.
Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Said Al-Asmary, who manages a cottage in Tanomah, north of Abha, said that the idea of cottages imitates several global experiences in this field. Moreover, the wonderful nature and the calm rural atmosphere offer a unique opportunity to invest in building cottages that adds to the region’s beauty.
He noted that the project is executed in cooperation with two companies specialized in architectural design and construction over an area of 3,000 square meters, accounting for 20% of the total space. The project involves hiking trails among mountains, as well as several entertainment activities, such as horse and buggy riding, and a tour inside the resort’s farm to pick seasonal fruits.
Furthermore, cottages provide a chance for recreation and relaxation amid the calmness and tranquility of nature. They are also a venue for several outdoor activities, including walking and barbeque, in addition to discovering the local culture and traditions and tasting the flavors of Aseer by trying the traditional dishes made by local cooks.
