
Saudi Arabia has featured among the top 20 safest countries in the world, on the Safety Index 2025 by Numbeo.
The Safety Index by Country 2025 rates 146 countries based on extensive consumer survey which assesses the respondents’ perceptions of crime rates, safety levels during day and night, and other safety matters.
Saudi Arabia ranks 14th on the Numbeo Safety Index 2025, the highest position among the G20 countries. The Kingdom has advanced 12 places, compared to 2024 rankings.
The top spot on the list goes for Andorra, a tiny European country located between Spain and France. With a population of only 81,000 people, Andorra is known for its luxury ski resorts and beautiful landscapes.
The UAE secures the second place on the Safety Index 2025, followed by Qatar in the third place. Oman also comes in the fifth position.
The UK ranks 87th followed by the US in the 89th spot, while France comes in the 110th position.
On this occasion, the Saudi Tourism Authority CEO, Fahd Hamidaddin, praised the advancement of Saudi Arabia on the Safety Index list.
“We are delighted to see Saudi ranked as the 14th-safest country in the world – a significant leap from 26th place in 2024 and a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating a secure and welcoming environment for all,” he told The Moodie Davitt Report.
“As the safest G20 country, with cities recognized among the safest globally, we continue to prioritize the security and comfort of every traveler. We are dedicated to ensuring that every visitor feels not only safe, but is also embraced by Saudi’s warm and welcoming hospitality,” he added.
