Bonjour Saudi is an old Najdi-style house that witnessed a new flare of representing the Saudi culture and showcasing its marvelous history.
In the heart of Diriyah’s Samhan district, the old house has become a ‘travel and experience design house,’ showcasing local handicrafts and several workshops.
“At Bonjour Saudi we focus on being a bridge between foreigners, expats, tourists and Saudi culture by creating experiences that showcase different parts of that culture like cuisine, art, and tradition,” French co-founder Cecilia Pueyo said.
Pueyo added that during her several visits to the Kingdom, she noticed that it is a little bit hard to access workshops on traditional Saudi crafts such as Sadu weaving, palm weaving, or Kabsa cooking.
Therefore, she firmly decided to create a space gathering all these cultural aspects.

Bonjour Saudi features several cultural and artist spaces including House of Artisans, a store showcasing local handicrafts like candles, abayas, handbags, jewelry, and more.
Furthermore, the house offers guided tours to popular destinations across the Kingdom including Jeddah, Abha, and AlUla.
It basically aims at introducing a better understanding of Saudi culture and heritage.
Therefore, visitors can sign up for a multi-day journey around historical sites or for a two-hour cooking or art workshop.

“This is what I think Bonjour Saudi is about; how we want to make an impact on people. Even if they only have one hour, we can connect them with the right person to deliver a message about the country, about the culture, about their passion,” Pueyo added.
