Riyadh Hosts Global Hit ‘WICKED’ at King Fahd Cultural Center

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) hosted the premiere of the “WICKED the Musical” on December 3 at the King Fahd Cultural Center, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The world-renowned musical “WICKED”, held in collaboration with Broadway Entertainment Group (BEG), has marked its Middle East debut in Riyadh, begininngg its regional tour.

The musical performance captured the attention of many guests, media representatives, and prominent figures. This acclaimed production has attracted more than 70 million viewers in over 130 cities across 25 countries.

Running through January 3, 2026, the “WICKED” performances will bring together over 100 artists, technicians, and orchestra members, as well as large-scale stage designs that feature more than 350 costumes

Riyadh’s premiere offered a refined, high-caliber theatrical spectacle, boasting the musical’s most defining moments. The production also presented a series of amazing shows by the iconic “Defying Gravity” sequence and concluded with an extraordinary finale that captivated the audience and drew an enthusiastic engagement.

By hosting the “WICKED”, RCRC is adding another milestone to its efforts seeking to attract world-class cultural and artistic experiences in line with the ambitious objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

“Welcoming “WICKED” to the region for the first time reflects RCRC’s dedication to providing high-quality cultural and entertainment options for all segments of society, in line with the goals of the Quality of Life Program under Saudi Vision 2030,” Vice President of the Lifestyle Sector at RCRC, Engineer Khalid bin Abdullah Alhazani, said.
