Saudi Museums Commission Revolutionizes Cultural Landscape with New Campaign

Saudi Arabia’s Museums Commission has launched the “Telling Tomorrow’s Story,” a new campaign highlighting the museums’ role in preserving history.

According to Arab News, the campaign aims particularly to emphasize the museum’s pivotal impact in preserving the Kingdom’s heritage, crystalizing national identity, and supporting innovative expression.

Therefore, “Telling Tomorrow’s Story,” aligns with the commission’s vision which is based on promoting creativity and safeguarding culture and heritage.

The campaign features digital content marking the commission’s museums and cultural centers, including the National Museum, Al-Masmak Palace Museum, Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art at Jax, Diriyah Art Futures, and the Tariq Abdulhakim Museum in Jeddah.

In addition, it offers glimpses into several future museums such as the Black Gold Museum in Riyadh and the Red Sea Museum in Jeddah, which will revolutionize the Kingdom’s cultural landscape.

With a bold vision to preserve Saudi heritage, the commission unveiled the developments of several museums in various regions, including Qassim, Jouf, Asir, Tabuk, Hail, Najran, Arar, Dammam, Makkah, Jizan, and Baha.

Interestingly, the regional museums, under the motto “Our Saudi Story,” will also celebrate Saudi history, heritage, and identity.

As part of the campaign’s activities, these museums will display permanent collections, temporary exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events.
