Mawani Signs 7 Investment Agreements Worth Nearly SAR 1 Billion at Jeddah Islamic Port
The General Authority for Ports, ” Mawani “, signed seven investment agreements with national and international companies, totaling investments approaching SAR 1 billion, during the inauguration ceremony of the truck clearance zone at Jeddah Islamic Port. The move is part of its efforts to develop logistics infrastructure and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.
The agreements included a contract with “Masdar” to establish an integrated logistics center supporting handling, storage, and distribution operations, and an agreement with “Al Gharb Group” to build a logistics center dedicated to supporting commercial activities and maritime services.
Mawani also signed an agreement with “Al-Shatri Store” to create an integrated logistics center serving import/export operations and logistics services, in addition to an agreement with “Jadir” to establish an integrated logistics center providing storage services.
As part of expanding existing investments, the authority signed an agreement with the global company “Maersk” to expand its logistics center at the port, helping to enhance operational capacities and improve the efficiency of provided logistics services.
The agreements also included two contracts with “JD”: the first to establish an integrated logistics center to support digital logistics services and re-export in the Khumrah area, and the second to create a specialized logistics center for handling, storage, and distribution operations.
Finally, these agreements come within Mawani’s efforts to expand logistics investments, enhance the efficiency of Saudi ports, and support the Kingdom’s targets to cement its status as a global logistics hub.
