Saudi Arabia Participates in Cairo International Book Fair 2026

Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is currently taking part in the 57th Cairo International Book Fair, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Organized by the General Egyptian Book Organization, the fair is running through February 3, bringing together publishers, writers, and readers from across the globe.

Abdullatif Alwasel, CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, stressed that the Kingdom’s participation in the 57th Cairo International Book Fair is more than a cultural event, it is a continuation of the commission’s broader mission to strengthen its cultural presence regionally and internationally.

He also said that the fair offers a valuable platform to spotlight Saudi cultural heritage, while bolstering the Kingdom’s central role in leading the global cultural landscape.

Furthermore, Alwasel underscored that the commission has mobilized its full capabilities to ensure Saudi publishing houses are represented at book fairs both within the Kingdom and abroad.

By signing new partnerships and fostering cultural cooperation, Saudi Arabia is attracting several international publishers to take part in Saudi book fairs.

Overall, Saudi Arabia’s participation at Cairo International Book Fair aims to foster cultural ties and foster knowledge exchange with Egypt.

It also seeks to enhance collaboration in literature, publishing, and translation, while empowering Saudi publishing houses and literary agencies on the international stage.
