Riyadh Season’s visitors enjoyed a vivid display of Ethiopian culture at Al-Suwaidi Park, as part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative.
The event, organized by the Saudi Media Ministry, in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and under the Quality of Life Program, attracted thousands of visitors of different nationalities to explore the authenticity of Ethiopia’s culture.

Through folklore melodies and traditional songs, the event showcased the depth and diversity of the Ethiopian culture. These musical performances included drums, brass, and traditional string instruments, including the “Masenqo” – a cultural symbol in Ethiopia.
Moreover, the event focused on highlighting a wide array of traditions that reflect Ethiopia’s culture and heritage, such as hospitality, holiday festivals, and traditional attire, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Visitors also had a unique chance to discover a diverse range of Ethiopian products, most notably coffee. The stages of coffee preparation were on display, including roasting, grinding and brewing, as well as serving the drink during gatherings, signaling Ethiopian warmth and authenticity.

In addition, the cultural event featured a diverse range of cultural activities aimed at enriching the visitor’s experience and highlighting various aspects of Ethiopia’s culture.
The “Global Harmony 2” initiative aims to foster understanding and promote cultural exchange among communities by highlighting various aspects of the lives of expatriates in Saudi Arabia.

Since its launch, the initiative has attracted over 2 million visitors from various nationalities, engaging them in a diverse range of cultural activities.
The initiative hosts a series of events in Al-Suwaidi Park to showcase the culture of 14 countries, including India, the Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Ethiopia.
