The Riyadh Metro has turned into a vibrant showcase of light creations, displaying dazzling light-based artworks as part of Noor Riyadh Festival 2025.
Taking place under the theme “In the Blink of an Eye,” the Noor Riyadh Festival has showcased outstanding light installations in selected metro stations, capturing hundreds of thousands of passengers with the unique creativity and talent of Saudi and international artists.

The Noor Riyadh Festival is running from November 20 to December 6, 2025, featuring more than 60 large-scale light installations that blends Riyadh’s historic heritage with its modern infrastructure, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The fascinating artworks are displayed across 6 Riyadh Metro stations, including Qasr Al-Hokm District, King Abdulaziz Historical Center, STC Station, Financial District Station, PIF Tower, and JAX District.
“constrained surface” by Ryoichi Kurokawa unites light, color, sound, and motion in a synaesthetic experience, where the frame becomes a space for perceptual surprise and layered sensory discovery.

The collaboration of Noor Riyadh with the Riyadh Metro provides a new perspective on the city’s urban development, highlighting its ongoing evolution and urban innovation. It also transforms the metro into a cultural platform that invigorates public spaces with visual arts.
Noor Riyadh is one of the initiatives of Riyadh Art program – a project led by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). This year’s edition showcases the creative artworks of local and international artists in Riyadh’s historic sites and urban landmarks. It also hosts educational workshops, discussions, community activities and artistic shows.
