Madinah’s hospitality sector recorded the highest hotel occupancy rates in Saudi Arabia during the first half of 2025, according to a recent report by the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Chamber.
The report revealed that occupancy in Madinah’s tourist accommodation facilities reached 74.7%, with an average daily rate of SAR 538 and revenue per available room (RevPAR) of SAR 402. These figures positioned Madinah at the top among the Kingdom’s regions, followed by Jeddah Governorate (59.7%) and Riyadh (58.3%).

By the end of the first half of 2025, the Madinah Region had 523 licensed hospitality establishments, including 456 within the city of Madinah itself—361 hotels and 95 serviced apartments. The total number of licensed rooms across the region reached approximately 64,569, with hotels representing 94% of that total. This places Madinah second only to Makkah in terms of the number of licensed hotel rooms in Saudi Arabia.
