Eastern Region Unveils Waterfront Sports Zone to Promote Active Lifestyles
The Eastern Region Municipality has launched a new integrated sports zone along Al-Khobar’s waterfront, covering more than 4,100 square meters. This development aims to encourage community-wide participation in sports and physical activities in a safe, modern, and inviting environment.
The facility will feature four multi-use courts totaling 2,400 square meters for basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Additionally, a 200-square-meter outdoor fitness area and a 1,300-square-meter skating zone will be constructed, all adhering to top technical standards.
This initiative is part of the municipality’s broader vision to improve quality of life, promote active living, and transform the waterfront into a lively, dynamic urban destination.
