Al Marjan Island: Premier Tourist Destination for Jazan Residents, Visitors
Al Marjan Island, located on the southern coast of Jizan, stands out as one of the region’s top tourist attractions. Its strategic location makes it a perfect getaway for families and a promising site for tourism investment.
Covering an area of 63,000 square meters, the island is home to pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a vibrant marine ecosystem. Colorful coral reefs and diverse fish species create a rich underwater world, making it a haven for divers and marine life enthusiasts.
Visitors can enjoy a range of water sports and recreational activities, while boat tours to nearby islands add to the island’s appeal.
To further enhance its offerings, the Jazan Municipality is redeveloping a 48,000-square-meter section on the island’s eastern side. The project includes landscaped green spaces, leisure facilities, and new investment opportunities aimed at strengthening the local tourism infrastructure.
Additionally, a 15,000-square-meter waterfront area is being upgraded with shaded seating, modern lighting, and enhanced amenities to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable visitor experience.
