Al-Hanakiya Governorate to Launch 1st-Ever Grape Festival, Celebrating Local Agriculture

Al-Hanakiya Governorate in the Madinah Region is set to host its first Grape Festival from August 13 to 17, 2025, at the Palm Center. The event aims to support the local agricultural sector while promoting economic growth and tourism in one of the region’s most productive farming areas.
Located northeast of the governorate, the Palm Center boasts fertile soil and a temperate climate, making it ideal for cultivating grapes and other seasonal fruits, particularly dates known for their high quality and variety.

The festival will feature a wide range of local grape products, offering farmers a valuable platform to market their produce to both visitors and potential investors. The initiative also seeks to strengthen the center’s status as a hub for premium agricultural goods and raise public awareness about food and farming.

Festival highlights will include grape variety exhibitions, traditional hospitality featuring Saudi coffee and dates, live performances, local handicrafts, and family-friendly educational activities. Government agencies will also take part in supporting and organizing the event.

Organizers are inviting farmers, agricultural professionals, investors, and the general public to attend, underscoring Al-Hanakiya’s commitment to advancing local production and expanding agricultural marketing opportunities.
