Saudi Heritage Commission has launched the “aadat” national awareness campaign to highlight the significance of Saudi antiquities, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The campaign tackles antiquities’ central role in strengthening the Kingdom’s cultural and national identity.
The “aadat” campaign seeks to shed light on the challenges and threats that face Saudi antiquities, such as encroachments and illegal trafficking.
That is why the campaign will emphasize the protection of antiquities as a collective duty that requires a profound understanding of their significance as a vital component of the nation’s cultural heritage.
Through various media and awareness tools, “aadat” will organize field campaigns in public spaces, markets, commercial centers, as well as universities across several regions of the Kingdom.
To reach the largest possible segment of the public, the commission will launch advertising campaigns across various digital media platforms, keeping pace with modern media consumption patterns.
The commission has also planned interactive pavilions for the campaign, displaying the Kingdom’s archaeological sites and its geographical and cultural diversity.
