Billboard Arabia Music Awards to Debut in Riyadh

All music fans should mark their calendars for an unforgettable night in Riyadh, featuring stunning performances from some of the biggest international artists.

Billboard Arabia has announced that the first edition of the Billboard Arabia Music Awards (BBAMAs) will take place on December 11, 2024, at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital.

The first Arabic edition of the world’s premier music show will be part of the first Riyadh Music Week, a new initiative that aims to bring together the global music community through a series of music festivals and events in the Saudi capital.

On this occasion, the Managing Director of Billboard Arabia, Rami M. Zeidan, said: “I am proud to announce the first edition of the Billboard Arabia Music Awards. As one of the fastest growing music hubs, Riyadh is the perfect location to celebrate the achievements of Arab artists around the world.”

Billboard Arabia Music Awards celebrate a year of milestones and impressive achievements in the music industry. The BBAMA will honor music leaders and rising stars across various categories, including Top Artist, Female Artist, Male Artist, along with the year’s hottest songs and much more.

The selection of BBAMA winners will be based on their performance in Billboard Arabia’s flagship Charts, including the Hot 100 and Artist 100. Furthermore, the selection process will consider the newly launched dialect charts, such as Khaleeji, Egyptian, Levantine and Magharebi, and genre-specific charts, including Arabic Hip-Hop, Arabic Indie, Shelat and Mahraganat.

In addition to celebrating the most prominent artists and music talents of the year, Billboard Arabia Music Awards will feature live performances, surprise collaborations and unforgettable moments for established and rising artists, spotlighting the diverse talent of Saudi Arabia and the region.

In the light of this, Zeidan said: “Audiences will experience the diversity of Arab music firsthand through live performances. They will see their favorite artists like never before. This is what BBAMAs are all about: ensuring that Arab artists, their music and their stories receive the well-deserved recognition both regionally and globally.”
