Al Namas Governorate has attracted a large number of visitors with daily folklore shows at various tourist and archeological sites, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
As part of Al Namas Summer Season 2024, Saudi Folklore bands present a variety of popular traditional dances, including the famous Ardha and Madqal.
These vibrant performances have drawn tourists and visitors from all age groups, mainly children and families who love to enjoy Saudi traditional arts.
Saudi families are keen on passing traditional folklore dances to their children as they represent a key aspect of Saudi culture and heritage. These traditional arts reflect people’s daily life and embody the values of cooperation and community that pass from generation to the other.
Al Namas is located in Aseer Region, at the top of Sarawat Mountain. It is distinguished by its pleasant and cool weather for most of the year.
Owing to its natural and diverse terrain, visitors can engage in exciting activities, such as mountain climbing, camping in forests, and other outdoor activities.
Al Namas is also home to many ancient villages and historical palaces and museums that are characterized by their unique architectural style.
Al Asabelah Heritage Palaces stand out as an architectural marvel in the heart of the central area of Al Namas. They have become a tourist attraction for hundreds of visitors and residents each day.

Moreover, Al Namas has several archeological sites dating back to different eras. The most prominent among them is Al-Jahwa Village, located east of Al-Namas. The Governorate also contains Islamic inscriptions in mountains called “Al-Sijin,” “Al-Gharamah,” “Dhu Al-Ayn,” “Ajma” and “Qarn Al-Ghala.”
In July, Al Namas has launched the Namas Summer Season 2024, which features diverse events and activities, including traditional performances, heritage village activities, agricultural events, cultural events, as well as sports events.
