King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah has set new record, welcoming 50 million passengers in 2025.
This new milestone marks the highest figure ever recorded by a Saudi airport since civil aviation started in the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Moreover, the new achievement places KAIA among the list of the world’s Mega Airports in terms of passenger numbers.
The remarkable milestone is a strong testament to the massive transformation at KAIA and its emergence as a regional hub and a national gateway linking the Kingdom to the world.
Furthermore, it underscores KAIA’s vital role in solidifying Saudi Arabia’s position as a global tourist destination and a gateway to the Two Holy Mosques by facilitating the movement of visitors and pilgrims.

The achievement also showcases how the airport supports the tourism sector, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and deliver an extraordinary travel experience.
On this occasion, the CEO of Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO), Mazen Johar, said that the 50-million milestone emphasizes the high operational readiness of KAIA and aligns with preparations to double this figure in the coming years.
He also expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, noting that the achievement is the result of the support of the Transport Minister, the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and the CEO of Matarat Holding, as well as the persistent efforts of all partners to provide quality services to passengers and visitors.
In celebration of the new accomplishment, JEDCO received the 50 millionth passenger at KAIA – a French citizen arriving on a Saudia flight to participate in a sports tournament in Jeddah – with a celebratory souvenir.
