The Jeddah Municipality has finalized its preparations for the summer season by implementing a comprehensive operational plan. The plan aims to enhancing public safety and improving the overall visitor experience across the city’s beaches and waterfront destinations.
The initiative comes in anticipation of increased visitor numbers during the summer holiday period and the weeks following the Hajj season.
As part of the plan, 12 beaches and waterfront locations have been fully prepared to accommodate residents and visitors.
To strengthen safety measures, the municipality has deployed 66 lifeguards and 34 field supervisors tasked with monitoring beach activities. This ensures compliance with regulations, and responding promptly to emergencies.
Municipal officials stated that inspection teams will continue conducting daily field visits to verify the operational readiness of beaches and coastal facilities, assess service quality, and ensure that all safety requirements are being properly implemented.
These efforts are particularly important as waterfront areas are expected to experience significantly higher foot traffic throughout the summer months.
Summer Season
The municipality has also urged beachgoers to follow essential safety guidelines. These guidelines include swimming only during permitted hours between sunrise and sunset. They also include remaining within designated swimming zones, adhering to lifeguards’ instructions, and closely supervising children at all times while near the water.

These measures form part of Jeddah Municipality’s broader strategy to enhance quality of life, strengthen marine safety standards, and support the continued development of the city’s coastal attractions. The initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to providing safe, well-maintained, and enjoyable recreational spaces for both residents and visitors.

Jeddah’s beaches remain among the city’s most popular leisure destinations during the summer season, attracting thousands of families and tourists seeking waterfront recreation and marine activities. As visitor numbers continue to rise, the municipality’s enhanced safety and monitoring efforts play a vital role in ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone while preserving the high standards of the city’s coastal facilities.
