Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture has launched the UK–KSA Arabian Peninsula Cultural Research Fellowships to support archival-based research, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
In collaboration with Effat University and the UK National Archives, the fellowships aim to advance scholarship on the Arabian Peninsula and strengthen collaboration between academic and cultural institutions in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
The programme features a 10-week research residency at the UK National Archives, where participants receive hands-on training in archival methodologies and access to a vast array of archival collections and cultural institutions across the UK.
It also covers a vast array of research focused on the cultural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula.
The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Culture’s strategic vision to elevate cultural research, underscoring its commitment to enhancing both local and international collaboration and fostering cultural exchange.
Researchers and cultural heritage specialists who are capable of conducting independent research in English are welcomed to join the fellowship regardless their professional level.
