Many people avoid foods they really dislike even if these foods are very good for their physical and mental health. Tastes battle with bodily needs thus when one goes on a diet for a long period without one’s body getting preferred nutrients. One learns that the world doesn’t end when dealing with the roughest foods is a matter of how different they are handled. Changing your thinking changes the resistance you feel to the point of tolerance- in fact, sometimes even a bit of approval can happen.
Preparation Matters
The way people make their least favorite meal usually determines whether it remains terrible or becomes okay. If strong flavors mask or even match the part you don’t like, then it’s almost certain that the situation will change. Bitter greens that are roasted rather than steamed get their crispiness and sweetness that soften the sharpness, thus the taste can still be enjoyed. Simply adding a little of the familiar spices – the ones that you are fond of in other dishes – can gently change the unwillingness into the desire for more.
Texture Transformation
Somehow, when the texture of food isn’t right, that’s what puts people off the most, even more than the taste. The way they keep their fingers off slippery surfaces or the instant pulling away from a soft, shapeless center is something that happens even more than flavor. Also, if you change the shape by cutting it finely, squeezing out the moisture first or adding a crunchy element, you can decrease the immediate “no”. Then, when the sensory perception and the liking are in harmony, the acceptance is so natural that it hardly requires a conscious decision.

Gradual Introduction
You’d still hate food if you continue to add topping which you do not like. If a small amount is mixed with something that is delicious, the taste buds will be gently introduced to the flavor. The brain gradually ceases to see it as an antagonist. At low pressure, progress is more durable than being forced down very fast.
Mindset Adjustment
Once it could have felt like a downright torture to you, but everything might start making sense if you see the situation differently. The problem that you are having now can be only a little thing that will give you a better feeling later if you just allow it to happen. Adding an ingredient that you like is a good idea to keep the balance for now. That meal will eventually lose its horrible taste in your mouth.
It is really surprising how a small change in the way of cooking completely changes everything. One time making it more crunchy might help while the other time making it more soft will certainly work. It is equally important to finding food in a different way as changing its flavor. Beginning with something small is very helpful in keeping things under control, barely noticeable. The difference in the plate gradually becomes visible without drama.
