Saudi Arabia is expecting a grand sports event with AlUla Desert Polo returning to the ancient oasis city next month.
Taking place on January 16-17, AlUla Desert Polo 2026 will bring together some of the world’s best polo players at the Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Equestrian Village in the charming desert of AlUla.
The event is organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla and the Saudi Polo Federation, as part of the Winter at Tantora Festival. It offers an extraordinary showcase of world-class horsemanship and high-fashion luxury, against the breathtaking scenery of AlUla’s golden desert, awe-inspiring sand canyons, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra.

On this occasion, Chief Sports Officer at Royal Commission for AlUla, Ziad AlSuhaibani, said: “AlUla Desert Polo has become one of the region’s most distinctive sporting experiences. Its return in 2026 highlights AlUla’s unique ability to offer heritage, luxury, and athletic excellence in a setting unlike anywhere else in the world.”
Tickets are available for the adrenaline-packed tournament. This year’s edition features a unique Polo Player Circle experience, with a premium pass offering guided access to the field, a chance to meet players and take photos, and special souvenirs.

The experience is further boosted with a spectacular blend of activities, including live music, entertainment, interactive activities, a children zone, and pop-up retail stores. Moreover, the event will feature fine-dining restaurants and food booths for a luxury culinary experience.
AlUla Desert Polo is the first modern polo tournament in the world to take place in the desert, bringing a star-studded lineup of international players in a thrilling polo competition.
