The Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has kicked off the Jeddah Book Fair 2025 at the Jeddah Superdome, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Taking place from December 11-20, 2025, the cultural event brings together participants from 24 countries, including over 1,000 local and international publishing houses and agencies, showcasing their work across 400 exhibition booths.
Under the theme “Jeddah Reads,” the Jeddah Book Fair 2025 acts as a major cultural platform for publishers, creators, and book enthusiasts from Saudi Arabia and around the world.
In the light of this, the Commission’s CEO, Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Wasel, said that the Jeddah Book Fair underscores the Commission’s dedication to advancing the publishing sector, cultivate local creativity, and strengthen the market presence of Saudi publishers and authors.
Furthermore, he highlighted the new initiatives introduced this year, which aim to expand local literature’s footprint and elevate the visitor experience with improved cultural programs.
The Jeddah Book Fair 2025 features more than 170 cultural events, including seminars, panel discussions, lectures, poetry readings, and several workshops, hosted by prominent writers and intellectuals.
It also includes a dedicated children’s area, hosting interactive experiences that improve children’s creative skills through a unique blend of culture and entertainment.
The Jeddah Book Fair is open to visitors each day from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, except Friday from 2:00 PM.
