Passport to the World: Explore Global Cultures in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has launched an extraordinary event that will immerse residents and expatriates in a unique experience. The Passport to the World will bring expats’ cultures to the heart of Saudi Arabia.

The outstanding event is a celebration of the cultures and heritage of various expatriate communities, particularly Sudan, India, the Philippines and Bangladesh. Without leaving Saudi Arabia, expatriates will have an unmissable chance to reconnect with their homeland countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Moreover, the event will allow visitors to learn more about various cultures by hosting art performances, cooking experiences, and interactive workshops that showcase the authenticity and cultural heritage of other countries.

Al-Khobar will be the starting point of the Passport to the World event while Jeddah will be the next stop. The event dedicates four days for each community. Kicking off in Al-Khobar on April 9, 2025, the event will begin with the culture of Sudan, from April 9-12; then India from April 16-19; the Philippines from April 23-26; and Bangladesh from April 30 to May 3, 2025.

Interestingly, the Passport to the World is inspired by the cultural and architectural heritage of each country, immersing visitors in a comprehensive experience that displays traditional clothes and accessories, dance shows, culinary treats and handicrafts. It will also include open markets, theaters and interactive exhibits.

The event serves as a platform to boost cultural diversity through showcasing other countries’ heritage and enhance communication between citizens and visitors. Furthermore, it aims to provide an entertaining educational experience for all family members. Hence, it is expected to attract a large number of visitors.
