SFDA to Saudi People: Observe Food Warning Labels!

Caffeine is unsafe for pregnant women, breastfeeding mother and heart patients

Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) warns consumers of buying food products without reading the warning labels, as this might put their lives in danger.

The Authority added, “all components and nutrition facts must be read well as any product contains more than 150 mg/liter of caffeine is unsafe for pregnant women, breastfeeding mother and heart patients.

Also, consuming more than 40 mg of sorbitol, xylitol per day may cause diarrhea.

The Authority confirms that consumers are free to replace or not buying any product with warning labels.
