The Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with PwC Middle East to explore opportunities for collaboration in delivering a specialised programme to develop national leadership capabilities in data protection, privacy and responsible data governance.
The programme focuses on enhancing the practical and leadership aspects of data protection officers, in line with the requirements of the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law. It combines regulatory knowledge with practical expertise in law, cybersecurity, privacy and artificial intelligence, reflecting the nature of the tasks and challenges faced by data protection officers in their daily practice.
Targeting experienced data protection officers and senior privacy specialists, the programme will be delivered through an intensive track at PwC Middle East’s Centre of Excellence in the Kingdom.
The first cohorts are expected to include more than 100 data protection officers, who will participate in sessions led by specialist experts, hands-on exercises and workshops based on realistic scenarios covering all stages of a data protection officer’s work, alongside practical models and educational assessments that help reinforce acquired knowledge and facilitate experience-sharing among participants.
