The Esports Foundation (EF) has officially selected the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris as the host venue for the 2026 Esports World Cup, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Esports World Cup represents the largest global event in competitive gaming. It is scheduled to run from July 6 to August 23,
The Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center will become an integrated hub for the championship. It will host all 25 tournament competitions as well as live broadcasts, fan engagement zones, and a wide range of entertainment activities.
Moreover, EF selected the venue due to its world-class infrastructure and experience in hosting large-scale international events.
Over the years, the center has emerged as a cornerstone for major competitions and exhibitions, including Paris Games Week. Since 2010, the 2025 TFT Paris Open, and its pivotal role as the largest competition site during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The 2026 Esports World Cup is expected to attract over 2,000 players from more than 100 countries. They represent upwards of 200 clubs worldwide. They will be competing for a record-breaking prize pool of $75 million.
The seven-week tournament will feature a stunning lineup of competitions across several gaming genres, such as first-person shooters, strategy titles, sports and simulations. Furthermore, competitions will also include multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, battle royale formats, fighting games, racing competitions, and chess.
