Sale Season for Ramadan 2026 Begins in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has unveiled the sale season for Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2026.

The Kingdom is expecting the holy month of Ramadan to start on February 18, 2026 and run until March 19, 2026, with Eid Al-Fitr starting on March 20, subject to moon sightings.

In light of this, the Ramadan sale season will begin on February 1, 2026, corresponding to Shaaban 13, 1447 AH. It will last until March 26, 2026, corresponding to Shawwal 7, 1447 AH, the Ministry of Commerce announced.

Running for 54 days, the sale season covers a broad range of Ramadan goods and products, as well as Eid Al-Fitr supplies. The early launch of the sale season allows consumers to secure their essentials ahead of time, effectively bypassing the traditional last-minute rush.

The Saudi Ministry of Commerce offers a streamlined online service for obtaining sales permits. By applying through the official portal, retailers can quickly acquire and display their permits, allowing them to launch promotions immediately while preserving their full annual discount allowance.

Moreover, consumers can verify the authenticity of any promotion by scanning the barcode on the sales permit with their smartphone. This instant scan provides full transparency, displaying the discount’s percentage, the specific items included, and the establishment’s official credentials.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce confirmed that it will intensify its field inspection tours nationwide to ensure legal compliance and protect consumers from fraudulent discounts.
