The Shouran Pathways project is a major urban development initiative that reflects the Madinah Regional Municipality’s commitment to enhancing public spaces and transforming them into open, inclusive environments. The project seeks to improve quality of life, encourage healthy lifestyles, and support a wide range of recreational and investment activities within residential neighborhoods.
This initiative aligns with a broader vision to upgrade municipal facilities, expand open spaces, reduce visual pollution, and create a balanced integration of human and economic dimensions in urban planning—ultimately contributing to a higher quality of life across the region.

Shouran Pathways
The first phase of the project has been completed across an area exceeding 85,300 square meters in the Shouran neighborhood. This phase also included the development of main pedestrian walkways, dedicated bicycle lanes, landscaped green areas, seven investment zones, a sports field, and parking facilities, all of which enhanced the urban landscape and created a more livable environment.

To extend the project’s impact, a second phase was implemented over an area of more than 75,000 square meters. Moreover, this phase introduced additional green spaces, a dedicated cycling path, three investment zones, three children’s play areas, a skate park, and a sports field, further enriching the neighborhood’s recreational and social offerings.
Universal accessibility was a key consideration throughout the project. Parking areas were distributed across the site, including 15 spaces designated for people with disabilities, along with two passenger loading and unloading zones, ensuring convenient access for all users.

Shouran Pathways forms part of a comprehensive development plan covering nearly one million square meters. The plan aims to enhance municipal services and public spaces, expand open areas, create new investment opportunities, and foster social development. Finally, through this initiative, the Shouran area is being positioned as an attractive destination for living, recreation, and investment, while directly supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve quality of life and build more vibrant, sustainable cities.
