Al-Suwaidi Park in Riyadh has hosted the Philippine Culture Days event, bringing a captivating cultural showcase to Saudi Arabia’s citizens and residents, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Organized by the Saudi Media Ministry in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and under the Quality of Life Program, the unique event is part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative.

From traditional clothing to folklore dance and handicrafts, the Philippine Culture Days event has attracted large crowds across its eight pavilions, allowing them to explore various aspects of Filipino culture and traditional handicrafts.
The pavilions displayed methods of manufacturing traditional attires, seashell formation, jewelry and decorations making, in addition to showcasing artistic handmade pieces.

The Philippines is known for its creative handicrafts that underscore the diversity of its local communities and richness of its culture. The Filipino handicrafts uniquely combine artistic beauty, skills, and traditions by using natural materials such as bamboo, abaca, wood and seashells, creating a legacy that passes from one generation to the other.
Moreover, the event included a musical program, featuring concerts and folklore shows that drew a large number of visitors eager to discover Philippine arts. The event also included daily activities, such as entertainment shows, children’s games, handicraft displays, and food tasting experiences.
The “Global Harmony 2” initiative aims to foster understanding and promote cultural exchange among communities by highlighting various aspects of the lives of expatriates in Saudi Arabia.
So far, it has showcased 11 cultures from around the world, with 3 more cultures to be celebrated.
