As part of Riyadh Season 2025, the Riyadh Zoo has opened its doors to visitors, taking them on an amazing journey to explore the diversity of wildlife in an immersing experience that blends education with fun.
Located in Al-Malaz District, Riyadh Zoo spans an area of 161,000 square meters, featuring more than 1,600 animals from 170 species, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The zoo contains 6 main zones that simulate the natural habitats of animals from different continents. These zones include Pink Lake, Wild Adventure, Enchanted Forest, The Swamp, Ape Escape, and Almalaz Bay.
Moreover, the zoo offers a diverse range of interactive activities, including animal feeding and educational workshops for children. It also introduces new experiences for the 2025 edition, such as the Elephant Experience which allows visitors to closely examine elephant’s behavior.
The other new experience is the Giraffe & African Exhibit, which provides visitors with a closer look at giraffes and elands via an observation bridge, allowing them to interact with animals.
The main stage of Riyadh Zoo hosts daily performances, including Silly Brothers, Blue Clown Circus, Magician Show, and Bubbles Show. Furthermore, various roaming shows take place across the zoo’s different zones, including Jungle Friends, Music Band & Drummers, and Flamingo Stilts.
The new experiences enrich the visitor’s experience, adding more fun and entertainment that cater to the needs of individuals of all ages.
Additionally, Riyadh Zoo offers a wide range of services, including restaurants, food trucks, and booths. It also features a dedicated retail area and interactive spaces for children.
Riyadh Zoo’s doors are open to visitors each day from 9 am to 5 pm, accommodating up to 12,000 visitors. The zoo has established its position as one of Riyadh Season’s most attractive destinations, further cementing Riyadh’s status as a global entertainment hub.
